Most definitely should have listened to the reviews before taking in my moms 2002 Nissan Xterra. Called around 10 am on a Saturday to see if they had time to change the oil and change the brakes on a car I had just bought. I also mentioned the brake lights weren’t lighting up when braking, and if they’d have time to do that on short notice. They assure me that if I took the car in within the hour they’d have time to get everything done by 3 when the close, because they “don’t like keeping cars overnight”. I show up a half hour later, the guy at the desk says he’ll call me a bit later on with a quote and would let me know if the car needed the tune up I requested, but that they definitely had time for the oil change. Around 2:30 I hadn’t received an update on the car so I call in. They advise me the brakes need to be bled and they’d like to keep the car til Monday to make sure there weren’t any other problems with the car. I told them I appreciated it and to take the time they needed to do a good job, to which the man on the phone reassured by end of the day Monday the car will be done. Fast forward to Monday at 2:30, still no call. I call in to get an update, to which a woman answers with “my dad says he’ll call you when he’s done”. I ask when that would be and she says “I don’t know”. Tuesday 2:30, I call in and ask for another update. The man on the phone responds with “we have other cars to work on”. I let him know I’m pretty much in the dark at this point and haven’t even gotten any sort of quote on the work they’re supposedly doing to my car at this point. He responds with “you’re not looking at much”. Wednesday I get a call from the father who says they had to bleed the breaks and tighten a wheel bearing, and that for sure they’d have the car ready either by the end of the day or Thursday morning. I get a call later Wednesday saying the car was ready, and could I please pick it up because they don’t like keeping cars overnight, which at this point I found very funny and hypocritical. I let him know I’m at work and would have to show up the next morning. I show up around 9 am the next day, figuring that would be ample time for them to have the car ready since google says they open at 8:30. Apparently that was asking for too much because the young man opening the shop didn’t show up until 9:10 because he “had to shovel snow”, on top of my car having been kept outside and is now covered in ice and snow. After all is said and done they charged me 280 dollars to bleed my brakes and tighten a wheel bearing, not giving the car the tune up or the oil change I had asked for since day one. They stumbled on communication and I’m not sure the brake bleeding should have cost that much or even taken that long. They made me feel like wanting to be updated on my car was an inconvenience and bother to them, and that isn’t good business. At least my brake lights work now.
Great place
