Walked in & 2 waiters passed me BEFORE the 3rd told me they would be with me soon. While it was only about a 5 minute wait, the place was not busy & I was tired & hungry. I Then I ordered my food & my coffee came in a mug that I realized after a few sips was dirty. I also didnt get silverware & had to flag another waitress down for it . The meal came, & the plate was thankfully clean, but parts of the meal was cold rather then hot like it should've been. Yeah, I could have left to go elsewhere, but I'm from out of state, staying here a short while & didn't know the area. Maybe I came on an off night? The waiter was nice enough at least, but I doubt I will eat breakfast here in the morning, nor any meal again while I am here. :(
Came here to eat, and got so much more than food. I not only got good food, but some hobo came up to me and I ended up buying him dinner. I gave him money, and sent him on his way. Didn't see him again, until I went to leave, and the Dumbo made himself a home under my car. Long story short, we're now roommates and work together. Good food. Good food.
Yesterday 11/ 4/ 2017 my husband and I went to Perkins in Elkhart Indiana we have been there several times before and enjoy the food. We could not enjoy our food because the silverware was dirty had not even been washed. We called the manager over to let him know the problem and he made a joke telling us he wouldn't charge us for the food on the silverware. We did get clean silverware but couldn't enjoy our food wondering if the dishes were clean.
First visit to Perkins since it was Perkins Steak and Cake. Very good service and food. Prices were right for the portions too. I got a Swiss and mushroom omelette. One of the best I've had. I'll go back if I'm ever this way again.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great and Danielle, our waitress, was high energy yet willing to stop and chat and joke around. All around excellent experience!
